As a Machinist Level 4 here at Honeywell, you will play apivotal role in ensuring that our machining processes run efficiently, safely,and in accordance with quality standards, while optimizing productionschedules. You will report directly to our Machine Shop Manager and you’ll workout of our Columbus, OH location. In this role, you will impact the future ofHoneywell by maintaining and improving our manufacturing operations to increasesavings and better serve our customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of skilled machinists,programmers, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, andcollaboration.
• Efficiently allocate and manage resources, includingmachinery, manpower, and materials, to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processesto ensure that all manufactured parts meet or exceed quality standards andspecifications.
• Develop production schedules, set priorities, and monitorworkflow to optimize machine shop productivity and meet customer demands.
• Oversee machine maintenance and repair schedules to ensurethat all equipment is operational, safe, and properly maintained.
• Monitor and control operational expenses, identifyingcost-saving opportunities while ensuring the shop remains within budget.
• Ensure the machineshop complies with all safety regulations and best practices, fostering a safework environment for all employees.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, implementinglean manufacturing principles and identifying opportunities for processoptimization and efficiency gains.


YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 5 years’ operating CNC machines
  • The ability to operate CNC machines safely and productively
  • Ability to work with level above and other departments to complete RCCA (Root Cause Correction Action) quality and safety related issues
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train, run dept Tier 1 meeting, prioritize workflow, manage staff while solving day-to-day issues
  • Experience using SAP or related ERP systems
