Description
The engineer will work cross functionally with applications, high level frameworks, public and internal developer tools, and low level runtime frameworks to integrate audio features across these areas, to ensure our experience and performance goals are met.
Key Qualifications
  • Excellent programming and debugging skills in Swift, C++, and/or Objective-C;
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • 2+ years experience working on Apple platforms (macOS or iOS);
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills;
  • Building native user interfaces on Apple platforms, such as macOS or iOS;
  • Understanding of audio, realtime and/or multithreaded software;
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and great product judgement.
Education & Experience
BS, or MS in Computer Science OR equivalent degree / industry experience
Additional Requirements
  • Desired but not required:
  • -Experience collaborating with UX designers and UI implementation;
  • -Experience working with audio engines for interactive/game development;
  • -Experience with API design and software architecture;
  • -Detailed understanding of audio software stacks on iOS/macOS/embedded platforms;
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,700 and $243,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
