Performance Engineer, Quality Engineering Innovation and Automation

Specifically, your mission will be to design, build, and deliver performance engineering services including performance architecture, performance diagnostics, performance testing and post-production scaling and resiliency. You will be expected to build strategies, tools, and integrations between existing tools and frameworks to provide new, cutting edge capabilities.
Your Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be a part of developing the scope and approach for performance engineering on your project, develop and implement tools, execute tests, perform in-depth analysis, and translate between business and technical audiences. You will need to ask better questions to truly understand our client’s “why” and develop better answers by drawing on your experience in consulting and technology.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Good understanding of Performance Engineering concepts. The candidate should be able to implement performance strategy, and lead performance testing team.
- Technical experience with all aspects of the software lifecycle including design, architecture, development, and testing
- Experience in creative solutions leveraging easily accessible technology (cloud provider offerings, open-source technology, and common technology tooling)
- Experience using and creating event analytics views using Dynatrace, Splunk or similar tools
- Experience with component level and end to end performance testing
- Experiencein Performance testing scripting using common protocols like – HTTP and Webservices/API
- Experience with UI performance optimization for web and mobile front-end applications.
- Exposure to load generation tools likeJMeter, Microfocus Performance Center / LoadRunner, NeoLoad, SOASTA Junit, BlazeMeter, Silk Performer, Gatling or similar
- 4 years of hands-on experience in dealing with performance testing and engineering concepts such as:
- Conducting thorough analysis of requirements specifications and design documents and using structured techniques to identify testable conditions
- Experience in creating performance test strategy, design planning, workload modelling, and elicitation of non-functional requirements for testing
- Experience with Performance test execution, reporting, and results analysis
- Strong collaboration skills with Project and technology delivery teams in understanding the non-functional requirements and application performance SLAs
- Understanding of the distributed load test environments, and the application architecture
- Knowledge in Servers, network protocols including load-balancing, proxies, and firewalls, as well as Cloud Computing concepts for business continuity
- Familiar with statistical concepts: average, median, percentile, standard deviation
- Ability to perform and report on a Proof of Concept and tool selection exercise
- Scalability Testing and Capacity planning
- Batch Process Testing
- At least 4 years of experience performing diagnostics and results analysis:
- Application Performance Monitoring (APM) Tools – Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, Datadog or similar.
- Database Tools - Oracle Enterprise Manager, or other DB analytics tools, app server logs, etc.
- At least 4 years of experience in at least 1 of the below programming languages:
- At least 4 years of experience in consulting
- Client relationship building and becoming their trusted advisors
- Executive communication
- Seeing problems as challenges and opportunities, not roadblocks
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience with Azure, Aws Cloud and setting up Performance Monitoring Tools.
- Consumer products experiencealsoincluding prior consulting experience
- Relevant industry certification such as, ISTQB, LoadRunner Professional, Silk Performer, Apache JMeter Pro, Neotys Certified Expert, Dynatrace Associate, AppDynamics Certified or other specialized IT certifications

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $101,500 to $186,000. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $121,700 to $211,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
