The Finance Director will lead and rebuild the finance function in Mexico for Johnson Electric, a multinational automotive organization. This role requires a senior finance executive with extensive experience in the automotive industry and strong knowledge of Mexican financial regulations. The position is critical to ensuring compliance, driving cost control, and managing financial operations in a complex multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Re-establish and lead the finance department, including recruitment and staff development
• Ensure compliance with Mexican legal, tax, and accounting standards, including SAT regulations
• Lead cost reduction initiatives and strengthen financial controls
• Oversee transfer pricing policies and ensure regulatory alignment
• Monitor tariff developments and assess financial impact
• Collaborate with global finance and cross-functional teams
• Lead change management within the finance function
• Maintain internal controls, audit readiness, and risk management
• Advise executive leadership on financial planning and strategy

Qualifications and Experience:

• 20+ years of experience
• Automotive industry background with multinational corporations
• Experience leading finance functions in Mexico
• In-depth knowledge of Mexican financial regulations
• Proven success in cost reduction, compliance, and strategic planning
• Experience with cross-border financial operations
• Fluent in Spanish and English
