Job Description:
Analyst, Leveraged Finance, London
Responsibilities:
• Originating and executing non-investment grade debt transactions for both private equity and corporate clients
• Developing a strong understanding of market fundamentals and making market-informed contributions on a broad array of financing structures
• Designing highly tailored presentations for clients, outlining solutions to their financing needs
• Interacting directly with our clients and other external parties (incl. investors) beside our product specialists to create and deliver financing solutions through Leveraged Finance products (leveraged loans, high yield bonds, bridge loans, etc.)
• Working on live transactions and benefiting from direct exposure to clients (financial sponsors and corporates) throughout the execution process
• Working closely with Investment Banking and Sales & Trading teams in the context of live transactions and origination efforts
• Background and understanding of fundamental finance and capital markets concepts
• Mathematical and analytical skills are required
• Capable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams/individuals
• Fluency in English is essential and a second European language a plus
• Educated to degree level (preferably in a numerical discipline such as economics or finance)
• You will need to demonstrate drive, innovation and a genuine interest in the financial markets
• Displays analytical and problem-solving skills
Skills that will help:
• Previous experience within Investment Banking in particular Leverage Finance
• ACA-qualified desirable as well as experience within Corporate Finance and / or Transaction Services at a Big 4 firm
