Job Summary:

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities):

Establish and maintain an in-depth understanding of key account needs, challenges, priorities, and opportunities, and effectively communicates key intelligence of customer and industry trends to internal partners and stakeholders.

Evaluate markets and customers to identify and develop opportunities that support the growth of the Oncology portfolio.

Responsible and accountable for the successful creation and implementation of the strategic and tactical plan for the Corporate & GPO Account Team. Establish metrics to ensure performance against the established team goals.

Responsible and accountable for managing and monitoring the Corporate & GPO Account Team budget, ensuring effective investments and spending.

Lead GPO contract strategy development, execution, and performance tracking.

Communicate appropriately with the Market Access Payer and Medical Affairs teams regarding account specific needs.

Coordinate and actively participate in customer and industry meetings.

Contribute to the development and presentation of quarterly business reviews demonstrating achievement of key metrics, annual budgets, and strategic planning exercises.

Ensure implementation of individual Account Director goals through alignment to overarching team strategy and objectives.

Ensure compliance to and establish policies appropriate for the function.

Develop people and a pipeline of talent of future leaders.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency):

Significant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, oncology experience required.

Minimum 5 years of experience in GPO account management, including contract negotiation, and execution. Experience with GPO contract strategy development preferred.

In-depth knowledge of oncology within distribution, patient access and reimbursement, managed care/federal/state marketplace sectors, and physician networks.

Existing relationship with marketplace stakeholders.

Direct Management of staff required.

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point).

Demonstrated strategic planning capabilities and results orientation.

Demonstrated negotiation skills.

Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time and work under pressure.

Strong management skills with the ability to motivate and lead cohesive and productive teams.

Strong project management skills.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.

High level of oral and written communication skills and ability to work with various stakeholders internally and externally.

50% Travel requirements.

Remote/Field-based position, with a regular presence in Headquarters expected.
