Required to handle / understand complex transactions re Record to Report processes through their knowledge, experience and expertise in this space; required to handle / understand complex transactions involving collecting, processing and delivering relevant, timely and accurate information. Provides strategic, financial and operational feedback on how a business is performing, as well as develop and implement innovative process initiatives, deploy leading edge solutions which match our Client’s tactical and strategic requirements. Professionals in this role have skills such as data extraction and collection, analysis, accounting, financial and management reports, understanding of key performance indicators, reconciliation of budgets, forecast, financial controls, and fixed assets, as well as business operations, process management and compliance, industry knowledge and a deep understanding of the process best practices and tools to execute their client’s core business processes. Plan and manage operational capacity collaborating with CxO layer.
Your Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled General Ledger Manager experienced in Lease Accounting to lead our lease accounting function. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of lease accounting, including complex lease transactions, lease portfolio management, and compliance with lease accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in lease accounting, strategic vision, and the ability to drive process improvements and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the lease accounting function, including lease data extraction, entry, and reconciliation.
Perform complex lease accounting transactions and entries accurately and efficiently.
Develop and implement lease accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with lease accounting standards.
Manage lease accounting software and ERP systems, including configuration and customization as needed.
Provide strategic guidance on lease portfolio management and optimization, including lease vs. buy analysis and lease negotiation support.
Present lease accounting insights and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Extensive expertise in lease accounting regulations, standards, and best practices.
Proven track record in managing complex lease portfolios and transactions.
Strategic planning and decision-making skills for lease portfolio optimization.
Experience in presenting lease accounting insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
Strong leadership in driving lease accounting process efficiencies and innovations.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is highly preferred.
7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with extensive focus on lease accounting.
Proven track record of leadership and management in accounting functions.
Deep understanding of lease accounting standards and their practical application.
Strong strategic planning and execution abilities.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
