Join our dynamic team in the payment fraud group as a Junior Backend Developer, where you’ll contribute to building impactful FinTech products in a rapidly expanding department. Develop and maintain scalable backend architectures that support applied machine learning platforms and other data-driven systems.
Build and optimize real-time and batch processing systems using typed functional programming languages such as Scala or Java.
Collaborate with team members to design, implement, and maintain backend components in cloud-based environments.
Participate in daily code reviews, testing, and deployments, contributing to a reliable CI/CD pipeline.
Work closely with senior engineers to enhance system performance and ensure code quality.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues with a focus on reliability and scalability.
Qualifications
2–3 years of hands-on backend development experience, specifically with typed functional programming languages (e.g., Scala, Java).
Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is an advantage.
Solid understanding of database technologies (SQL and noSQL).
Familiarity with distributed systems and stream processing technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, Spark) is a plus.
Strong commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
Eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git is advantageous.
Soft Skills:
Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, combining remote (Zoom) and in-person collaboration.
A proactive team player with a problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn from feedback.
