Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or closely related engineering field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- United States Citizenship.
- Ability to work in one of the preferred locations for this role (Oakland, CA or San Jose, CA).
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Master’s degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or closely related engineering field.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs.
- Self-driven time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain 40-hour Hazardous Waste and Emergency Operations (HAZWOPER) training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher class, if needed for role.
- Successfully passed the Fundamental of Engineering exam in California or possess the ability to pass the exam.
- More than two years of experience in environmental compliance topics including Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans; Stormwater (SW) inspections and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs); Air emissions inventories, reporting, and permitting, Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) submittals, and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) calculations.
