As a Trade Compliance Director at Honeywell, you will have a significant impact on the company's global operations and success. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with international import/trade regulations, which is crucial for the smooth flow of cross-border transactions. By developing and implementing trade compliance strategies, policies, and procedures, you will contribute to minimizing risks and avoiding penalties related to import and export violations.

You will report directly to our Sr Director Trade Compliance and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on awork schedule.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Support Honeywell Mergers and Acquisitions and separation of the Honeywell automation and aerospace businesses
  • Develop and implement import/trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to import regulations
  • Manage and oversee import procedures, including Customs classification, country of origin, and customs valuation
  • Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of risk, improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on import/trade compliance matters, including training and awareness programs
  • Stay updated with changes in trade regulations and communicate the impact to the organization, ensuring compliance with new requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve import/ trade compliance issues and mitigate risks

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 10+ years of experience in import/trade compliance, preferably in a managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of import regulations, including customs laws
  • Experience in managing trade compliance programs, including Customs classification, country of origin and customs valuation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical solutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customs authorities and regulatory agencies
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of trade compliance professionals
