We have an extraordinary opportunity for a driven and innovative Operations Manager, to participate in one of the largest ecological restoration projects in the world – the Saudi Arabia Remediation and Restoration Program. This is your chance to be at the forefront of a transformative initiative that has been years in the making.
As the Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and supervising employees in the Eastern Region, ensuring the successful execution of this groundbreaking project. Your responsibilities will include leading field visits to client sites in Jubail or Hafr Al-Batin as needed, collaborating closely with the Program Director on various tasks, assisting in the preparation of RFP scoping and engineering estimates and ensuring scope, schedule and budget management is according to plan. You'll monitor the progress and performance of client contractors, review schedules and deliverables, and track program project costs to ensure budget adherence. Coordinating with the technical team, you'll review and approve deliverables, provide on-demand support to clients, and conduct quality controls while monitoring program KPIs. Working closely with the Program Director and Project Manager on a daily basis, you'll foster a cohesive and productive team environment.
This position is based at the client's office in the Eastern region (Dammam), where you'll be at the heart of the action, overseeing the restoration of the stunning coastline of Saudi Arabia, stretching from the Kuwait border to Abu Ali Island and Jubail Industrial City. Your adaptability and responsiveness to client requests will be crucial, while maintaining a focus on program requirements and realistic deliverables. As a good listener, you will excel in translating the client's needs into actionable solutions that exceed their expectations.
As a seasoned professional you will have an accredited master's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, engineering, ecosystem management, biology, civil engineering, chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent years of experience). We're looking for someone with at least 15 years of direct experience in environmental and/or ecological projects, with a strong focus on remediation. Specific experience in managing and delivering United Nation-related environmental projects or programs (or practical equivalents) is highly valued. While previous experience working in Saudi Arabia is advantageous, it's not required if you have extensive environmental experience in ANZ, US or UK Remediation/Restoration Projects, along with a minimum of 5 years of international project experience.
