JOB DESCRIPTION

The lead technician will be responsible for a broad range of projects related to catalyst development, production support and scale-up. , with some flexibility and alternate hours available. Occasional travel to Riverside facility as needed.

• Education Assistance The annual base salary range for this position is $74,200 - $95,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business consideration. This role is classified as Nonexempt and will be paid an hourly rate equivalent to the annual base salary range offered.
• Hands on execution of experimental plans in support of various technologies such as hydroprocessing, laboratory and semiworks scale catalyst development with responsibilities including forming, extrusion, metal finishing and heat treatment of various materials, all contributing to NPD (new product development)
• Material sizing, sampling, shipment, and storage
• Interface with other UOP departments including RVSD MPT, Catalyst Business, Pilot Plants, ISC, Analytical and Advanced Characterization to ensure robust development programs and effective support of new and existing technologies.
• Participate in all departmental safety activities and conduct all work with a high degree of attention to safety.
• Utilize HOS concepts to achieve streamlined work areas and process flows including continuous improvement efforts.
• Handling of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals is required with appropriate safety protocols.
• Lifting up to 35 lbs.


•High School Diploma or GED
•5+ years of experience in laboratory, pilot plant or manufacturing environment.


•Understanding and compliance with HS&E policies and procedures
•Knowledgeable experience working with hazardous chemicals within a laboratory environment.
•Detail oriented, resourceful, and able to work both independently and with support/off-hours staff.
•Demonstrated proficiency with HOS tools.
•Effective communication skills
•Creative problem solving, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills.
•Working knowledge of MS Office
•Willingness to learn new technologies.
•Maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment
