We’re searching for a UX Writer to design new and better experiences across our services through the lens of language. Specifically, you’ll collaborate with our Commerce and Subscriptions team to craft clear, user-friendly content.
The Writing arm of our Product, Design & Marketing team works across services and products, including ones that are currently available and ones that are just barely being imagined. As a UX Writer focused on Commerce, you’ll be responsible for many things, including:* Writing, editing, and optimizing user-facing content, reducing friction across the ways our customers purchase and bundle their experiences. * Working on feature development, naming, user flows, product logic, and education.* Boiling down complex systems into coherent, concise, and compelling interface copy.* Collaborating with cross-functional partners and senior leadership to define and execute our product roadmap.* Addressing feedback and improving performance of our content and customer experience.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Have an unrelenting passion for user-focused product experiences and are curious about every step in the user’s journey, from onboarding to error states.
- Have experience working on purchase and checkout flows, subscriptions, and other commerce features.
- Know how to work with wireframes and functional specs, and are familiar with design tools like Sketch.
- Develop well-informed points of view, while also remaining open to adjustments based on input from others.
- Can write from scratch, edit existing copy, and think beyond the written word with input from multiple team members.
- Are comfortable managing several projects simultaneously and able to dynamically reprioritize as needed.
- Deliver passionate and impactful presentations at all levels of an organization.
- Collaborate and build relationships across product functions, demonstrating an ability to circulate and advocate for language.
- Have an inexhaustible attention to detail.
- Enjoy contributing to and implementing style guides and shared nomenclature across Apple services.
- Deep curiosity about user behavior and an eagerness to influence product direction through language.
- An understanding of industry standards paired with a strong sense of Apple’s design and editorial standards.
- Know and are excited about evolving the Apple ecosystem of hardware, software, and services.
