What you’ll do:

  • Work with enterprise companies across diverse industries in Japan, conducting in-depth evaluations of their requirements and designing tailored solutions to address their video hosting, monetization, live streaming, and communication needs.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling, value-based demonstrations of Vimeo's platform, highlighting our outstanding and industry-leading features with expertise and confidence, positioning Vimeo as the ideal solution.
  • Conduct thorough discovery sessions to deeply understand customer requirements, design and validate proposed solution workflows, and meticulously document these both for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with prospective clients to plan and execute RFPs, product evaluations, and security questionnaires, providing expert guidance and technical support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Contribute to Vimeo's product development roadmap by actively collecting and providing valuable customer feedback, insights, and market trends to our Product and Engineering teams, influencing the future direction of our solutions.
  • Grow technically and professionally in a collaborative and inclusive environment, with ample opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues, share your knowledge, and expand your expertise in cutting-edge video technologies.
  • Mentor and guide junior solutions consultants, sharing your expertise and contributing to the development of a high-performing and collaborative solutions consulting team in Japan.

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or Solutions Architect in a SaaS environment, with a proven track record of success in supporting enterprise sales.
  • Deep enterprise technology knowledge and expertise, including a strong understanding of technical and security challenges, and experience with integrations into SSO and complex network environments.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate effectively, patiently, and optimally with both technical and non-technical teams, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess a strong customer focus, demonstrating a genuine passion for understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that exceed their expectations.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • A solid understanding of live and on-demand video workflows, technologies, and best practices, with a passion for staying at the forefront of industry innovation.
  • Native-level Japanese reading and writing skills, and fluency in English.
