What you'll be doing:
Develop and implement reliability strategies from concept to production, ensuring alignment with NVIDIA’s business and technology roadmaps while driving industry-leading standard methodologies.
Lead product qualification and proactive reliability efforts to catch potential issues early, balancing time-to-market and performance goals.
Define and refine critical metrics to measure reliability efficiency, improve predictive modeling, and drive continuous improvement.
Run innovative in-house reliability labs, ensuring efficient operations, smart prioritization, and strategic investments in new equipment.
Partner with silicon foundries and packaging suppliers to improve reliability, proactively mitigating risks and addressing emerging challenges in advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
Work closely with equipment suppliers to evolve reliability testing capabilities, keeping pace with the growing complexity of GPUs, SoCs, and CPUs, and next-generation requirements.
Represent NVIDIA externally on reliability matters, engaging with industry forums, customers, and suppliers to reinforce NVIDIA’s leadership in semiconductor reliability.
Lead and mentor a world-class reliability team, encouraging innovation and leadership in tackling the toughest challenges in reliability.
What we need to see:
Deep expertise in advanced FinFET technology nodes (5nm, 3nm+), reliability physics, and both intrinsic and extrinsic failure mechanisms.
Hands on experience in qualifying silicon across advanced packaging technologies (2.5D, 3D, dielets), addressing chip, package, chip-package interactions and board-level reliability.
Proficiency in reliability statistics, reliability acceleration models, and failure rate estimates.
Proven understanding of ATE test methodologies, electrical parameters, and drift analysis.
Ability to collaborate effectively with circuit design, process, and packaging teams, as well as foundry and assembly suppliers.
Expertise in industry standards (JEDEC, AEC) and application-specific reliability requirements for PC, data center, industrial, and automotive sectors.
Demonstrated leadership in driving cross-functional initiatives, making strategic decisions, and scaling reliability teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills with experience presenting to executives, customers, and industry panels.
Minimum 15 overall years of semiconductor reliability experience, including 10+ years in management roles and at least 3 years as a director or higher.
Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering or Physics; PhD preferred.
