As a (Junior) Software Developer with focus on generative AI, you will play a pivotal role in our agile software engineering team, creating a next-generation cloud-native pipeline orchestration tool that powers continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of SAP HANA for over 1,500 developers. By leveraging large language models our tool will provide valuable insights into CI runs to developers, thereby simplifying workflows and increasing overall efficiency.In this role, you’ll be responsible for

• Collaborating with a global cross-functional team to develop, deploy and operate a cloud-native CI/CD pipeline orchestration tool
• Explore and integrate generative AI technologies to analyze CI results and deliver actionable insights to developers
• Maintaining a cloud-first mindset and applying infrastructure-as-code methodologies
• Providing insightful and constructive code reviews
• Committing to ongoing learning and professional development

What you bring

• University degree in computer science or a related technical field involving software engineering
• Experience with the programming language Python
• Experience with generative AI technologies
• Familiarity with containerization and Linux/Unix environments
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. GIT) and constructive code review
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) is a plus
• Fluency in German and English, both verbal and written
