This position requires ability to execute complex statistical analyses, data visualizations and algorithm simulations. A background in advanced statistical techniques and statistical programming will be an advantage. Requirements include programming experience with data analysis, data processing and statistical tools (SQL, Python/R/SAS). Fluency in English and very good written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct data-driven analyses and reports; apply qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods; prepare statistical and non-statistical data exploration within Anti Money Laundering (AML) program in Citi.

  • Apply statistical methods to organize, analyze, and interpret data related to AML monitoring scenarios and thresholds.

  • Provide data pulls and reports directly from Oracle database and big data environment. Write SQL queries in large database environment.

  • Detect data anomalies and conduct deep dives to identify source of those anomalies. Recommend data driven solutions to address those anomalies.

  • Use visualization techniques to display data and the results of analysis in clear presentations that can be understood by non-technical readers.

  • Provide technical support to the team by implementing automation tools on Oracle Database and Python, R or SAS.

  • Design technical solutions supporting complex data reporting and analytical tasks. Generate graphical data reports, including data cross-tables, scatter plots and statistical measures.

What we'll need from you:

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in technical science/mathematics/statistics/quantitative methods (degree in economics/banking may be considered if strong analytical skills are demonstrated)

  • 3-5 years’ experience in analyzing large datasets and in data mining

  • Programming and statistical/data analytical experience using SQL and Python/R/SAS

  • Initiative, creativity and attention to details

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented

  • Comfortable interfacing with business clients
