About Mumbai Information Services Group:
The Mumbai Information Services Group (MISG) is a 24x7 library team that caters to all the information needs across Banking, globally. The team specializes in secondary research leveraging a broad set of resources (e.g. paid databases, the Web, trade associations etc).
In this role, you’re expected to:
- Conduct thorough research to gather and ensure accuracy, relevance and timeliness of the requested data
- Collaborate with internal investment and corporate bankers to understand information needs
- Identify appropriate sources for specific client needs and projects
- Collaborate effectively as a team and take individual ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks
- Work well under pressure and deliver consistently high quality client service in a deadline driven environment
- We operate 24/7 and expect the candidates to be willing to work across shifts and on weekends
- Adhere to the ethical standards outlined in the Citi Code of Conduct
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
- Basic financial knowledge
- Ability to work in shifts in a fast paced 24x7 operations
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong team player skills and should be able to work collaboratively
- Should be a quick learner and have the ability to multitask
- Ability to recognize and respect confidentiality of information
- Previous relevant experience (preferred)
- Database Proficiency (preferred)

- Candidate should be a graduate either in B.com or BMS or BFM or BAF or BBI
- Ability to work in shifts in a fast paced 24x7 operations.
- Basic Financial Knowledge
- Strong team player skills, should be able to work collaboratively across teams and share knowledge and information appropriately
- Must be able to work well under pressure with high level of accuracy and to prioritize workload in order to deliver results to tight deadlines
- Should be able to communicate with global coordinators / teams on a ongoing basis with respect to various projects / assignments
- Knowledge of basic information retrieval systems like Factiva and Thomson products is preferred
- Understanding of different types of business information: i.e. public and private company filing requirements / data, News,
- M&A and Capital Issues, Fundamentals, Broker Research and Earnings Estimates, Ownership data, etc. is preferred
- Ability to exercise independent thinking and balanced judgment
