Description
Specific responsibilities will include:- Designing, developing and improving back-end web services- Working cross-functionally with teams across Engineering to add support for new software features- Troubleshooting and resolving complex software integration issues
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong object-oriented programming and design skills
- Experience with back-end frameworks (e.g. Ruby on Rails, Django)
- Experience with databases and indexing (e.g. Cassandra, SQL, Solr)
- A technical background in UNIX commands in Terminal
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
- Experience designing reusable API
- Interest and background in translation, internationalisation, localisation, and international markets
- Experience with Machine Learning (ML), with a particular emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Native level foreign language skills in reading, writing and speaking
- Familiarity with Python and Ruby
- A track record of shipping products
