As a Strategic Transport Modelling Lead, you will be responsible for independently leading the modelling team and deliverables on assigned Jacobs' transportation and infrastructure development projects. You will be client-facing, offer support to the broader transport planning team to develop suitable analytical approaches and solutions, and provide leadership and mentorship to a team of modellers on different scales of projects. You will also collaborate with commercial, project management, and technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver, and operate a range of projects, managing Jacobs' risk on proposals and projects by undertaking key analytical roles. You will provide technical expertise across transport projects and be involved in the development of proposals.

In addition, your duties will be to:

• Lead and mentor a team of transport modellers, analysts, and technicians working on a variety of projects.

• Be responsible for the preparation of strategic transport models, technical reports, analytical studies, and production of planning documents across a variety of projects.

• Seek innovative solutions in achieving the best value in delivering our services, particularly in the application of new modelling techniques and technologies.

• Drive the development of the team through the delivery of projects and commissions, providing technical and administrative support and leadership where required.

• Ensure continual improvement of our deliverables by leveraging digital tools, incorporating lessons learned from other projects, and responding to client feedback.

• Be responsible for the coordinated technical delivery, reporting, and associated governance of the projects.

• Implement improvement measures and share good practices across the global Jacobs modelling Community of Practice.

• Assist with the technical development of more junior staff and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives.

• Actively engage in business development at Jacobs, including contributing to proposals and client presentations.

• Help maintain a highly motivated team with specific attention to safety and well-being, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
