We are seeking an ambitious individual who has a proven delivery and work-winning track record, strong client relationships and network and an ability to drive growth and ensure delivery in-line with both client and business (performance) expectations. They will have responsibility for building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving growth, while also leveraging strong project leadership. They will work closely with our Client Delivery Directors (CDD) to identify and pursue growth opportunities, within the Central Government, Regulators, and Investors market. They will lead on a broad range of sales pursuits, then oversee delivery, whilst maintaining and advancing client relationships through sales strategies and client contacts in alignment with the organisation’s strategic business plan.
Role Responsibilities:
Growth
- Working with the Client Delivery Director and Sector Growth Director in shaping the investor go to market strategy and growth plan, and for shaping the pipeline;
- Accountable for the delivery and upselling of the investor sub sector within our Central Government, Regulators & Investors market sector
- Identifying key capability requirements/propositions relevant to the Client (alongside CAM, or instead of where they don’t exist);
- Active role in planning and/or conducting OG/MG/EG and responsible for facilitating the flow of information up and down the business and between sales and operations;
- Responsible for partnering with Sales Leads to identify and pursue new client opportunities, and for broadening out the Jacobs’ offer within the investor portfolio;
- Collaboration across the Central Government, Regulators, and Investors sub-sectors, identifying and integrating learning and intelligence to ongoing pursuits and value proposition development;
- Ensuring bringing the full Jacobs’ set of cross-sector capabilities from into the investor clients, and for planning the current and future capacity and capability needs of the investor portfolio;
- Responsible for investor client relationships, providing oversight, co-ordination of interactions, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction;
Delivery
- Responsible for project delivery across the investor portfolio;
- Consistency of delivery across portfolio to realise efficiencies and the identification of new ways of working;
- Maximising margin and follow-on opportunity from existing work.
- Accountable for the as sold delivery of existing projects within the portfolio
- Extensive relationships with Infrastructure Investors in the European region, with a proven track record of managing and developing client relationships at all levels, opportunity origination and successful delivery
- Experience in Investor Advisory (e.g. transactions advice, M&A) across multiple sectors in which Jacobs operates (transportation, regulated utilities, energy and power, energy transition, renewables)
- Experience in energy transition is a significant advantage
- Extensive experience of overseeing the production of high-quality technical reports for private and public sector clients;
- Experience of leading technical workstreams and overall projects;
- An ability to work effectively as part of a team and to share ideas and expertise with team members to support ongoing learning and improvement
- Knowledge of contracting approaches for the sector/client portfolio and the associated risks.
- A passion for relationship-based sales, coupled with the innate ability to understand and influence the decision-making process associated with successful sales efforts
- Ability to lead and motivate bid/account teams, set a vision and strategy, reach across an organization to offer best-in class solutions, manage commercial and legal negotiations, and close deals.
- Demonstrable experience leading successful bids – strategy, resourcing, solution development, commercial negotiations, and delivery
- Understanding of commercial models, and ability to sell products and services into client solution to gain competitive advantage, and/or lead to advantageous pricing and up selling.
- Driven by innovation and engages passionately with the digital agenda
