As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Responsibilities:
Driver Development: develop PMIC driver including TypeC/USBPD/Charging/Battery driver on Qualcomm WoS platforms
Providing support to internal test teams and CE team on WoS PMIC Type-C/USBPD related issues/cases.
Interoperability: collaborate with hardware, firmware, and system teams to address PMIC-related interoperability issues to ensure seamless integration of PMICs into Windows-based platforms.
Identify and address interoperability issues related to PMICs, including compatibility with Windows drivers, system power states, and peripheral devices.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of PMICs in Windows environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Debug and troubleshoot issues related to TypeC/USBPD/Charging/Battery
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design guidelines, test plans, and validation reports.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and standards related to PMICs and TypeC/USBPD/Charging/Battery
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
More than 3 years of experience in software development, PMIC driver, validation, or system integration.
Expert knowledge of C programming and debugging skills.
Proficient in BSP and device driver development and debugging.
Experience with USB Type-C/USBPD/UCSI/TCPC/battery/charging related specification and development.
Conversational knowledge of verbal and written English.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in Windows operating systems and familiarity with ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface).
Familiar with Windows Battery/UCSI/UCM ACPI drivers
Familiar with WDF (windows Driver Framework) and KMDF(Kernel-Mode Driver Framework) and debug windows driver with windbg tool
