ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work on a project-based assignment focused on developing a more systematic machine/tool setup with minimal or no human dependency, leveraging machine vision assistance (e.g., determining reference points such as adhesive needle touch flexure, slider touch flexure, etc.).
Support initiatives to improve line utilization and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by reducing short stops, changeovers, and downtime, while increasing throughput and product quality
Contribute to FAVI's first prime yield improvement by implementing AI solutions to check results, reducing reliance on manual operator inspection
Study selected machines in production processes, identify the need for additional tools, sensors, or enhancements, and support prototype development to achieve the expected functionality.
Work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements that enhance productivity and reduce defects
Research new manufacturing technologies, automation tools, and best practices to support future scalability
REQUIRED:
Pursuing a bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Digital Engineering or a related field
Internship student in the cooperative education program (CWIE) is required to have an internship period of at least 4-6 months
SKILLS:
Skills in programming languages: C, C++, Python, MCU, Machine Vision , etc.
