NVIDIA is now looking for a vehicle integration engineer for its Autonomous Vehicle Operations team. As a vehicle integration engineer on our team, you will be working in one team with our automotive technicians and closely with senior engineers responsible for developing and maintaining our autonomous driving platform (incl. sensors like cameras, LiDAR, radar, USS, GPS, and others). You focus on reported vehicle platform issues, and you will triage those in the vehicle. You will help build, test, and maintain the system and make it work flawlessly and safely on our driving platform. You are expected to have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Previous hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and updating (autonomous) vehicle hardware as well as in-depth experience troubleshooting automotive bus systems (e.g. CAN, Flexray, Ethernet) is a requirement. Experience with autonomous vehicle sensor suite hardware and automotive mechanical and electrical systems is highly valued.
What you'll be doing:
Debug, maintain, and integrate systems into vehicle platforms
Triage reported in-vehicle issues (that could be related to sensors, vehicle ECUs, vehicle communication, data logging equipment, software, and more)
Be hands-on (incl. disassembling) in vehicles to determine root causes of reported issues
Be the “first responder” for vehicle issues, documenting and escalating them where appropriateRaise suggestions for improvements to avoid reoccurring issues with the platform
What we need to see:
3+ years of hands-on proven experience in diagnosing automotive bus systemsand working on vehicles (disassembling and assembling parts of the vehicle) and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Automotive, IT, Electrical or equivalent experience)
Proficient in English (speaking and writing) and local language skills
In-depth experience with automotive bus systems (e.g. CAN, Flexray,Ethernet)
Experience with diverse automotive sensors incl. radars, cameras, ultrasonic and LiDAR
Strong Linux / CLI experience working with in vehicle compute systemsandMust possess a good technical problem-solving ability and mechanical mindset
Must have senior/advanced automotive technician experience, especially in regard to in-car electronics
Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent experience
Valid driver's license with flawless driving recordandMust be able to travel
Extended computer (ECU flashing, IP addressing, command line experience)customer service, problem solving,and excellent communication skills required

Documentation of the installation procedures of cable harness installation and other Automotive Systems stands out
Excellence in trouble shooting and problem solving of Automotive Electronics installations

Worked with latest sensor technology for autonomous driving platforms incl. sensor calibrations
