Regulatory Counsel

Roles and responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and proactively communicate emerging legal and regulatory changes impacting the semiconductor industry.
- Provide legal advice on legal and regulatory changes, including coordinating with stakeholders to assess impact to TI.
- Advise on compliance actions associated with legal and regulatory changes.
- Consult on government contracting matters and negotiations.
- Assist with obtaining and maintaining security clearances.
- Prepare a variety of written communications such as legal updates.
- Partner with cross functional stakeholders (including government relations, communications, business, sales) to respond to government consultations and inquiries.
- Maintain strong communications channels between relevant internal teams.
- Some domestic and occasional international travel required.
Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay range for this role is shown below.
Pay Range: $138,000 - $260,000
Minimum requirements:
- Law degree from an accredited law school (JD or LLM)
- Licensed to practice law
- At least 4 years practicing law, with at least 3 years of experience in government matters and regulatory law
Preferred qualifications:
- Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes
- Prior work in a government agency or experience working closely with a government agency
- Experience with trade and export control regulations, government contracts and funding (including FAR, DFARS), and security clearance procedures
- Ability to give practical, strategic, business-oriented advice and recommendations
- Ability to establish strong relationships and to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Strong time management skills that enable executing with urgency on critical projects
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive for results
