Reporting to the
What a typical day looks like:
- Support the implementation and evaluation of proposed designs and processes for manufacturability
- Assist with the justification, purchase and implementation of capital equipment for production
- Assist and oversee the new process equipment production
- Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements and materials
- Assist with statistical process analysis on new and existing products as well as the improvement of manufacturing safety, productivity and yield improvements
- Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities
- Develop and maintain process documentation
- Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer
- Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer
- Make recommendations on cost improvement and reduction programs
Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:
- Jr/Sr (undergrad) student pursuing Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering bachelors degree
- Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic about robotics and high-speed manufacturing processes
- Familiarity working in a cleanroom environment highly desired
- Work schedule: M-F; 8am-5pm
- Previous internship experience working for a manufacturing company - a plus!
Internship Program Requirements:
- Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for a 10-12 week Summer assignment
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 minimum GPA
