Your key responsibilities:
- Review recurring journal entries prepared by staff.
- Review accrual and prepayment schedules and journal entries.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and ensure accuracy.
- General ledger open item clearing along with providing supporting documentation for open items in Blackline.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the RTR function.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure proper accounting of all transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses with client.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations that impact the RTR process.
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures in the RTR process.
- Should have experience in bank reconciliations and Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review of SOPs and other process documents and ensuring accuracy.
- Ensure adherence and meeting the KPIs and SLA.
- Use the available guidance’s on USGAAP/IFRS for providing technical support, as and when required
- Ensure quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing Supervisors of engagement status
- Follow through on client requests in a timely fashion, and manage expectations regarding the timing of
- deliverables and reports
- Supporting the development and management of the relationships with external and internal (EY) clients
To qualify for this role, you must have:
- CA, ACCA, CPA with 4-5 years working experience in RTR.
- Non-qualified candidates must have 8-9 years of experience in RTR with bachelor's degree in finance or equivalent.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, Oracle, Blackline, WORKDAY (preferrable).
- Strong understanding of accounting concepts.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Proficiency in MS – Excel, MS – Office.
- Knowledge on any Data analytics/visualisation tools will be additional advantage.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, as necessary.
- Good communication, Interpersonal, Analytical Skills & highly proactive in approach.
- Excellent problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work on extended hours or night shifts.
