Key Responsibilities:
- Generate studies of alternative control system approaches.
- Present building automation system architecture and options to owners and other stakeholders.
- Create schematic deliverables, including Basis of Design narratives describing the system intent.
- Supervise the production of drawings and specifications documenting the control systems.
- Prepare sequences of operation to control HVAC equipment in an energy-efficient manner.
- Select controls equipment (e.g., flowmeters, control valves).
- Coordinate work with engineers from other disciplines and architects.
- Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks, including field inspections and assisting in processing RFIs and Change Orders.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical, civil, or similar engineering degree)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 10+ years experience in designing/building automation systems
Ideally, you will also have
- Master's degree in Engineering
