In this role, you’re expected to:
The Data Quality Operations and Analytics Intermediate Analyst will be part of Data Management Operations team under Data Services organization. He / She will have the following key responsibilities:
- Review data quality exceptions reports for critical data elements (CDEs) that fail to meet the set success criteria and materiality threshold in adherence to the standard operational, risk and control processes as it relates to Data Quality Operating Model;
- Investigate and identify required remediation on data quality errors or exceptions; coordinate execution of data remediation with relevant stakeholders and business counterparts across the organization within limited timeframe to meet monthly KPI;
- Establish and manage partnership with key business counterparts – within Data Services, GFTS Technology teams, and Finance & Risk Shared Services (FRSS);
- Escalate to DSLs on a timely manner during and outside of the month-end reporting cycle, outliers and new data quality errors that do not have identified remediation strategy;
- Manage communication of data quality readiness status of CDEs to DSLs and data consumers during the month-end production reporting cycle period; escalate and follow through data quality review points that do not meet established success criteria;
- Prepare and communicate production support related operational metrics and KPIs within Data Services;
- Support implementation of strategic solution and liaise with relevant groups to eliminate data quality exceptions in the medium to long-term period; support issue root cause investigation and IMR submission process;
- Follow through the delivery of strategic solution through proactive involvement and regular coordination with strategic solution owners, e.g. FRSS Implementation teams, IMR (Issue Management Resolution) owners, etc.;
- Review strategic data quality issue resolution test results to ensure success criteria is met and provide necessary sign-off;
- Manage and address data quality queries/issues on production data through timely feedback to data users;
- Support second-level investigation on medium to complex data quality queries/issues on GENESIS production data and propose resolution path (both tactical and strategic);
- Support small to medium size projects and initiatives related to data services such as but not limited to process reviews and process efficiency enabler implementation.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- 2 to 3+ years of relevant work experience around data management, data quality, financial or regulatory reporting, product control in large financial services, consulting, shared services’ operations related or similar industry;
- Solid analytical skills, combined with an ability to deliver analyses in a concise and logical manner;
- Logical and analytical data tracing/mining experience is a plus;
- Knowledge of research methods, relational database or data relation discipline problem solving;
- Intermediate to advance working knowledge and experience on MS Suite Applications especially around MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access;
- SQL knowledge is highly preferred;
- Knowledge of bank product/s (Deposits, Loans, Securities, Derivatives, etc.) is preferred;
- Knowledge of Citi’s financial and regulatory reporting processes, finance and risk systems including GENESIS, Full Suite, Product Processors, General Ledgers, Reporting Ledgers is preferred;
- Knowledge of similar Quality Assurance / Citi Lean / Process Improvement practices (as applied to data quality operations);
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving (error detection, root cause analysis, error correction), conceptual, analytical and decision making skills;
- Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills – must be able to present and influence across organization level and functions;
- Good project / time management and organizational skills; good attention to details;
- Self-starter, proactive, quick learner, customer-focused with ability to independently manage work and drive multiple deliverables concurrently in a fast paced changing environment;
- High caliber team player with good judgment, flexibility and productivity with good track record in establishing partnership and team work;
- Ability to multi-task, demonstrating independent leadership skills;
