What a typical day looks like:
Provide expert-level support for Linux systems, primarily Linux (RedHat, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu), ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Develop and maintain automation scripts to improve operational efficiency, utilizing tools like Ansible and Terraform.
Monitor and manage Linux servers, troubleshooting and resolving day-to-day issues to maintain high availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, configure, and optimize system performance and security settings.
Maintain and enhance documentation and procedures to support service operations.
Implement and recommend improvements for the Linux infrastructure based on continuous monitoring and troubleshooting analysis.
Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
Work closely with service providers and vendors to escalate and resolve issues.
Utilize key monitoring systems and tools for proactive system health monitoring and data analytics.
Conduct regular health checks and implement improvements based on findings.
Take complete ownership of support issues, ensuring resolution within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Engage in knowledge sharing and collaboration with global peers to leverage best practices in Linux support.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Any graduate or post graduate with a minimum of 8-12 years of experience in Linux system administration, with a focus on Linux (RedHat, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu).
Proficiency in automation tools, particularly Ansible and Terraform, is highly preferred.
Mandatory experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift for deploying and managing containerized applications.
Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS/Azure) is a plus but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of Linux networking, security configurations, and performance tuning.
Effective communication skills with a proven ability to manage escalations.
Experience in system monitoring, performance analysis, and issue resolution.
Relevant certifications (such as RedHat Certified Engineer - RHCE) are advantageous.
Must be flexible to work in rotational shift environment (7am – 4pm & 2pm-11pm) .
Strong analytical skills and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
