Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain custom plugins for Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, JetBrains, Neovim, and other IDEs.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of plugins to ensure high performance and reliability.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in IDE development and plugin ecosystems.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for plugin-related issues.
Document development processes, code changes, and provide user guides for the plugins.
Collaboration with HQ: Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams at HQ to escalate critical customer issues from EMEA timezone, provide feedback on new features, and contribute to platform improvements
Act as a technical liaison between customers and HQ to resolve complex issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems).
5+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of any combination of academic or work experience with Full-stack Application Development (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)
• 1+ year of any combination of academic or work experience with Data Structures, algorithms, and data stores.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in developing plugins for Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, JetBrains, Neovim, Eclipse or other IDEs.
Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Java, C#,
Strong understanding of IDE architectures and plugin development frameworks.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Contributions to open-source projects related to IDE plugins.
Knowledge of additional programming languages and frameworks (e.g. Lua, Kotlin)
