Role Overview:

Citi Singapore is seeking an experienced Application Support Senior Analyst within their Security Services - Production Support Department. You will be working closely with colleagues in APAC, EMEA and NAM to ensure perfect 24/7 support of our franchise critical applications. In addition, you will also partner with Level3 Support team, application technology development teams, infra teams and the Business Product owners.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications. This includes providing quick resolutions to app issues, driving stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed
  • Maintain application systems that have completed the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm
  • Manage, maintain and support applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality and functionality against service level expectations
  • Start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover
  • Perform same day risk reconciliations
  • Develop and maintain technical support documentation
  • Identify ways to maximize the potential of the applications used
  • Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management in a timely manner
  • Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly
  • Review and develops application contingency planning to ensure availability to users
  • Partner with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements
  • Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production
  • Engage in post implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality
  • Considers implications of the application of technology to the current environment. Identifies risks, vulnerabilities and security issues; communicates impact
  • Act as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendor
  • Act as an adviser or coach to new or junior level analysts
  • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Experience in a Mainframe Application support role is key
  • Experience installing, configuring or supporting business applications
  • Experience with some programming languages and a willingness/ability to learn
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization
  • Effective written and verbal communications including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non-IT staff can understand
  • Demonstrates analytical skills
  • Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools
  • Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams
  • Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders

Technical Skills:

Strong experience in Mainframe and other technologies as outlined below.

  • Mainframe Technology
    • Language and Database: COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, DB2, FSA.
    • Job Scheduling : TWS/CA7/Control M
    • Librarian : Changeman/Endeavor
    • Utilities: STROBE, OMEGAMON, REXX, EasyTrieve, Selcopy, FAVER, SORT, FileAid, AbendAid
    • Data Transfer: IBM MQ Series, Connect Direct/NDM, KAFKA
  • Bachelor’s/Universitydegree or equivalent experience
