This position will provide reservoir engineering and technical support for the Energy Investment Banking group
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide reservoir engineering and technical support in analyzing and valuing oil and gas assets across L48
- Advise E&P and Midstream clients on Energy M&A, A&D, and capital markets transactions
- Execute economic modelling including developing type-curves, production volume forecasting, LOS analysis, plant statement/commercial assumptions review, inventory evaluation, etc.
- Prepare upstream volume and cash flow forecasts supporting DCF models using reserves economic software (ARIES, PHDWin and ComboCurve)
- Support execution activities, including data gathering, industry research and analysis (Enverus)
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Minimum of 6 years of Petroleum Engineering experience (E&P operator or Reserves consulting experience required; A&D investment banking experience preferred)
- Engineering degree
- Experience in technical evaluation of oil and gas assets across North American conventional and unconventional plays
- Perform technical assessments including type-curve generation, commercial/marketing analysis, LOE/LOS review to generate cash flows using reserves economics software (ARIES required, PHDWin)
- Prepare and manage virtual data rooms
- Experience using software such as Excel, Spotfire, ArcGIS/QGIS, Microsoft Access, Aries/PHDWin and ComboCurve
