Key job responsibilities
This is a representative list of the general duties that may be required of the position and is not intended to be all-inclusive:
* Manage all Engineers towards departmental and company wide goals
* Hire, supervise and develop Engineers across all shifts to accommodate a 24x7x365 schedule.
* Excellent and positive communications skills when working with customers, vendors and employees
* Oversee day to day Operations centre, escalations, ticketing and communications with customers (internal & external)
* Develop processes and procedures within the Operations centre to comply with unique customer based requirements where needed.
* Update and maintain documentation associated with processes and procedures
* Continuously improve and develop tools that will increase productivity and team performance.This team supports 24/7 electrical/mechanical systems in a data centre environment, and periodic on-call duties with ability to drive into workplace for critical events/needs will be required.
A day in the life

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or other type of Engineering; or have 5+ years of relevant work experience
• 3+ years of managerial experience
• 5+ years’ experience working on or maintaining physical infrastructure equipment; strong understanding of control’s systems

• 5+ years’ experience working in a large-scale data centre
• 3+ years’ experience in a Network Operations Centre (NOC)
• 3+ years’ experience IT support
• The ideal candidate not only understands data centre IT Infrastructure, data centre facilities infrastructure, and how the two entities co-exist, but has proven ability to improve the relationship between the two groups.
