1. Design, develop, document, and test data pipelines with Python that ingest and store data from structured and unstructured sources in Azure using cloud services like Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory.

2. Collaborate with data architects to ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of data solutions.

3. Strong SQL programming skills and experience with T-SQL and PySpark

4. Monitor Azure Synapse workloads and proactively address issues related to data processing, storage, and performance optimization in both T-SQL and Spark Jobs

5. Familiarity with other Azure data services (IaaS and PaaS)

6. Gain experience in YAML-based CI/CD in Azure DevOps

Key skills:

o Advanced Python coding knowledge (min. 2+ yrs)

o Proficient in Python programming language, familiarity with Python libraries such as PySpark for data manipulation and analysis

o Understanding of relational databases and experience with MS SQL / Azure SQL

o Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps repos, artifacts and pipelines, 2+ years developing data pipelines

o Azure Synapse knowledge (Azure Data factory is also acceptable)

o Databricks or Synapse notebooks knowledge (basic to advanced)

o Source control knowledge

Nice to have:

o Azure data certifications a plus

o C++/C# knowledge

o DevOps Pipelines

o Azure Functions

o Experience in IaC (Infrastructure as Code - preferably Bicep/ARM)
