In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.​ Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.Database Administration:Install, configure, and maintain either Oracle and/or PostgreSQL, and MS-SQL databases ; Perform database backups, restores, and recoveries ; Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization techniques ;Ensure database security, integrity, and availability ; Implement and maintain database replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions
Analyze database performance metrics and identify areas for improvement ;Implement indexing, caching, and other optimization techniques; Optimize database configuration, memory allocation, and resource utilization * Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Hands on experience as a DBA, with expertise PostgreSQL, and MS-SQL
• Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and performance tuning ;
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and other database programming languages ;
• Experience with database replicating, and high-availability solutions
• The skills required are that of a typical DBA who can troubleshoot, administer the planned tasks as well as be on call when needed to support escalated issues
