The India Tax Operations Analyst for GST and TDS is responsible for ensuring compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) regulations in India. Duties include preparing and filing tax returns, conducting audits, and staying updated on regulatory changes to ensure accurate reporting. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential for this role to navigate complex tax laws and optimize tax strategies for the organization.

As an Analyst in India Tax Operations team you will be responsible for ensuring compliance and accuracy in tax reporting and filing.

Job responsibilities:

• Understand and interpret India's GST and TDS laws and regulations.
• Review and analyze financial data to ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Prepare and file GST(Matching) and TDS returns accurately and on time.
• Respond to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities.
• Assist with tax planning and optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline tax processes and procedures.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in India tax operations, with a focus on GST and TDS
• Strong knowledge of India's GST and TDS laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Team player with ability work with colleagues in a collaborative manner, as well as being able to proactively progress multiple tasks independently.
• Knowledge of automation tools (Alteryx/Tableau) or experience with Transformation projects is an added plus.
