About the role:

within the Interventional Cardiology division, you’ll support projects spanning exploratory research to new product development, including work on next-generation single-use and capital equipment devices. This role offers hands-on experience with real-world problem solving, design, and system-level engineering, with responsibilities tailored to your strengths. We’re looking for a motivated engineer ready to contribute meaningful solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced med-tech environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, fabricate, and prototype new device concepts to address clinical feedback
  • Develop new and innovative test methods for in vitro device testing
  • Assist new product development teams with device design and testing
  • Perform troubleshooting on new products/process problems as related to design, material, or process
  • Research and analyze clinical and market data to identify new market opportunities
  • At times you will be asked to work independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet business timelines and provide updates to other team members

Required qualifications:

  • Must graduate between Fall 2026 – Spring 2028
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate level degree majoring inBiomedical OR Mechanical Engineering
  • Must be able to commit to the co-op program dates January 12th – August 7th
  • Must be available to work full-time (up to 40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, on-site five days per week
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with medical device systems or laboratory research
  • Highly self-motivated and able to manage schedule to meet critical deadlines
  • Independent thinker and skilled problem solver
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Maximum Salary: $ 63856

Compensation fornon-exempt (hourly), non-sales rolesmay also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
