Job Summary:
As a, you will be essential in evaluating and enhancing the product from
the user’s perspective across various domains, including MLOps, Data Science, and AI application development. Your role will involve simulating real-world scenarios to understand how customers interact with the RHOAI platform and its features.
By embodying the user experience, you will be a first-class citizen in the development process, providing critical insights that influence product development priorities.
What you will do
Contribute to the architecture, design and testing of the RHOAI platform, ensuring alignment with user experience goals.
Innovate in the MLOps and AI application development domains by actively participating in upstream communities, sharing insights, and integrating best practices.
Ensure that functional requirements are met, focusing on delivering a robust and user-friendly experience.
Practice “testing like a customer” (for Data Scientist and OpenShift Admin personas) by simulating real-world MLOps user experiences, using RHOAI features, especially multiple features in combination.
Perform usability tests, collaborating closely with software engineers to validate product quality and ensure seamless user interactions.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by sharing recommendations and technical knowledge with team members, contributing to a collaborative environment.
Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to analyze and clarify business requirements, ensuring that user needs are at the forefront of development efforts.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to provide proper visibility into quality efforts and progress including following up on outstanding issues that impact users.
Conduct thoughtful and prompt code reviews to maintain high-quality standards and enhance the overall user experience.
Contribute to automation testing based on fi ndings from exploratory testing of user-impacting issues.
What you will bring
Experience testing applications in Go or Python, or other language
Experience in Kubernetes, OpenShift or other cloud-native technologies
Experience in usability testing or User Experience Design (UXD)
Ability to quickly learn and use new tools and technologies
Experience with source code management tools such as Git
Good system understanding and troubleshooting capabilities
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience building or using AI products. Experience with Red Hat OpenShift AI or OpenDataHub (ODH) or other projects/products: Databricks Data, Vertex AI, Anaconda, Pachyderm, Amazon SageMaker
Knowledge of the AI and machine learning landscape, including open source communities, GPUs and software vendors
Understanding of core MLOps concepts
The following will be considered a plus (use for all three):
While a Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related discipline is valued, we prioritize practical experience and technical prowess
Understanding of how Open Source and Free Software communities work
Experience with development for public cloud services (AWS, GCE, Azure)
