What the Candidate Will Do

1. Build scalable real-time systems that will help us calculate the right prices to balance the marketplace.
2. Build tools for offline evaluation and simulation for decision making and policy selection.
3. Support feature development, experimentation, iteration, and scaling to global launch.
4. Help define monitoring and observability standards.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field
• Proficient in a language such as Java/Go/Python
• Experience building scalable distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-time Software Engineering work experience
• Experience building APIs (REST, gRPC, etc..)
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Familiarity with in-memory datastores (e.g. Redis, Memcached)
• On-call experience

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$158,000 per year - USD$175,500 per year.
