Duration:6- 12 months


Working hours:part-time - 20hrs./week

This is a hands-on position for an experienced writer(ideally an enrolled student in a BA or MA program for marketing, public relations, corporate communications, or journalism). Successful candidates must have solid communication skills, strong attention to detail, creative ideas, marketing acumen, and excellent copywriting and editing skills. The position requires the ability to seek out information and problem-solve.

Event Support

  • Align with the Broadcast Technology team on the event date
  • Assist with registration site build-out
  • Analyze registration data
  • Develop event polling questions
  • Create speaker invitations/meeting requests
  • Assist with slide preparation
  • Develop event survey and analyze feedback

Partner News Support

  • Create images for weekly editions of partner newsletters
  • Align with the SAP Partner Portal team on weekly news updates and hero banners, including uploading content directly to the site
  • Create and maintain news items/blogs on PES SharePoint
  • Create weekly data sheet of articles for editorial calls
  • Manage list imports as needed
  • Create news items from the weekly Partner newsletter on the SAP Partner Portal

Other projects to include:

  • External research to see how competitors engage with their partners
  • Explore potential communications tools that are available (e.g. using MS Teams or Communications Hub)
  • Consider ways to improve link tracking in emails and newsletters to track impact, including the development of an analytics dashboard
  • Assist with the review of assets in the Digital Library to ensure correct branding and legal guidelines are met
  • Assist with the GLOW project (page template redesign) on the SAP Partner Portal by developing and maintaining an inventory of assets, enablement packages, and pages in the Partnership section that need to be updated or removed

The candidate must have:

  • Good writing and editing skills in English; some experience newsletter copy is a plus
  • Detail-oriented, works well independently and cross-functionally
  • Ability to understand requirements, seek out answers, drill into details, and resolve issues
  • Good communication skills (written, verbal, and visual)
  • Good listening skills, ability to pull out and summarize information
  • Must be a team player and a demonstrated high-performer
  • Must be willing to take initiative
  • Good problem solver with a high degree of self-initiative
  • Enrolled BA or MA student, ideally in public relations, journalism, communication, or related fields

This means we produce and support multiple virtual, and in-person events every year, develop weekly internal and to-partner newsletters, produce partner-specific podcasts, provide executive communications support, and drive awareness of strategic initiatives to our partners.
