About the Role
Our Turkey Operations team works where Uber’s technology meets the real world. We are accountable to deliver on commercial, operational and financial KPIs that together contribute to the growth of our business by:
- Acquiring new customers,
- Increasing their engagement with the Uber app by better addressing their needs, and
- Continuously improving their experience
What the Candidate Will Do: Need / Bonus Points
- KPIs ownership - Take accountability on a set of business KPIs that contribute to the growth of our business. Understand their trends, get to the root cause of unexpected movements, spot improvement opportunities and devise action plans to address them
- Customer needs - Use internal and external data to better understand the needs of existing and prospective customers (e.g., What pain points does Uber solve for them? Where does our offering meet expectations? Where is there room to improve? How?)
- Product/feature launches - Collaborate closely with our EMEA and HQ Product teams to test and roll out new features or products that address customer needs
- Data analysis & problem solving - Use data analysis to identify issues/opportunities related to the performance of programs/products/features (i.e., how they deliver on our customer promise, how they could be improved, what would be their potential, etc.), understand the root causes, drive decisions and implement solutions
- Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management - Engage with other operations team members and functional teams (e.g,. CRM, Marketing, Legal, etc.) that will contribute to the successful delivery of your work
- Project management and execution - Plan and manage multiple projects and have the ability to execute in a constantly changing, complex environment
What the Candidate Will Need / Basic Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of demonstrated experience in data-driven decision-making and sound business judgement through strong analytical thinking and experimentation
- Consistent track record of being a respected operational problem solver
- Strong project management skills - the ability to prioritise and successfully drive a project from beginning to end - no matter what
- Cross-functional teamwork - you will partner with a range of local and regional teams including Business Development, Legal, Product, Marketing, Central Operations, Customer Experience, etc
- Resourceful, go getter - Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment and execute quickly
- Continuous improvement - Uber is committed to constant improvement. You're excited to create value for the business and design processes, analyses and operations that can scale
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and presenting data to various audiences; ability to translate quantitative findings into action plans
Preferred Qualifications / Bonus points:
- SQL knowledge preferred (and if not, must possess an aptitude to learn quickly as this will quickly form part of your day-to-day)
