What you will do:
As a member of the AWS Board Core Design & Services team you will own next-generation server components. You will have demonstrated results in the architecture and development of components used in servers, in areas such as motherboards, graphics, accelerators, and programmable hardware. You will interact with an interdisciplinary team of engineers to design, develop, validate, and launch at large scale. You’ll provide leadership in the application of new technologies to servers in a continuous effort to deliver and improve a world-class customer experience. This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position. You will work with thought leaders in multiple technology areas. You have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with. - Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ years of hardware engineering experience
- Experience collaborating with the ECAD/physical board designer and able to review PCB designs with Allegro, CAM350, or equivalent
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
- -7+ years of experience with I2C, SPI, UART interfaces.
- -Experience interfacing with thermal, mechanical, firmware and software teams during product development.

- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- Experience in motherboard design, PCB design including schematic capture, stackup and circuit board layout
- Experience in server technologies such as, thermal, mechanical, power, and signal integrity
- Experience developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components based on design intent and approved equipment submissions
- Experience identifying and resolving complex issues
- Experience in component selection and understanding of component reliability
- Experience in designing and developing large-scale services
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- 10+ years of experience in server design for cloud or enterprise applications
- Experience in designing for reuse across multiple products
- Strong organizational and planning skill
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written (white papers) and oral communication skills
- Experience with the management of technical programs a plus.
