Purpose of the Role:
In this role, you will engage with multi-functional teams around the world to develop a plan to service these new products in the field.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Reduce program serviceability risk by acting as the Voice of Service throughout the Product Life Cycle (PLC) for new products by developing a service strategy that encompasses: Cost of Service Modeling, Reliability Modeling, Retrofits, Intellectual Property protections, calibrations, and PM Optimizations
- Build solid expertise in overall system operation, integration, andcalibrations/diagnosticswith a hands-on approach by learning from Tech Support Engineers and Design Engineers to better support Alpha & Beta Systems as well as retrofits.
- Start building a detailed Product Support Plan (PSP), Service Readiness Review (SRR), Design For Service (DFS) and Cost Of Service (COS) models, by working with engineering, marketing, finance, and service that details KLA’s strategy for supporting newproducts.
- Develop product service education and knowledge across the Product Support Organization using training classes, Augmented Reality (AR), individual coaching, documents, and other knowledge capture tools to elevate your co-worker’s readiness to serve.
- Conduct spares obsolescence risk analysis and coordinate with the Spares Planning team to build and start initiatives that mitigate Service supply chain risk, including closing known issues and collaboration with GSS Engineering and Operation team.
- Contribute to the service alert meetings and Plan of Action (POA) development for critical issues and other sustaining activities. Capture and document Best Known Method (BKM) and other improvements into knowledge database.
- Work closely with cross-divisional NPI Best Practice Team to improve and develop existing BKMs by participating in discussions, conducting training, and providing feedback.
- Actively manage and support beta installs in-person by auditing procedures, updating existing documents, identifying training gaps, and solving unforeseen problems as they arise to drive continuous improvement for future installs and upgrades.
- Ability to travel internationally < 25%

Your qualifications:
- Minimum HNCElectrical/ElectricalEngineering/Mechatronicsor related discipline and proven experience.
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
- Expertise in Basic Microsoft Software Packages.
- Excellent presentation skills and a demonstrated level of comfort in front of various audiences.
- Experience with SPTS products is highly desirable, especially Plasma Etch, PVD, PECVD or RE products.
- An eagerness to learn new technologies, processes, and techniques.
