FINANCE ANALYTICS & REPORTING CONSULTANT

Job description/Key Responsibilities:

An FINANCE ANALYTICS & REPORTING Senior Consultant in our Finance Practice will be responsible for being an integral part of delivering ANALYTICS & REPORTING Solutions for our clients. This role requires techno - Functional expertise to create ANALYTICS & REPORTING models, ability to handle different data sets and upload them into ANALYTICS & REPORTING and good functional business understanding. This role also entails participating in teams to estimate project tasks, elicit requirements from clients, design the application, complete design documentation, and conduct end user training.

Good understanding of SAC focused onis expected based on projects done to be able to converse and understand the requirements better. Individuals in this role are expected to be able to work effectively and resourcefully independently as well as part of the team to accomplish tasks laid by team lead.


Required Experience:

  • 2-9 years of hands-on Modelling Experience in ANALYTICS & REPORTING tools (with exposure to a minimum of 5 end-to-end implementations on ANALYTICS & REPORTING) focused on but not limited to Financial Forecasting, Supply Chain Planning and HR/Sales/Incentive Compensation Management or similar use cases.
  • 5+ years of strong background and experience in consulting roles focused on Sales Performance Planning / Supply chain / Financial Planning.
  • Familiarity with SCRUM/Agile.
  • Hands on in MS Excel using advanced formulae to develop Mock Ups for clients
  • Strong expertise and deep understanding of multi-dimensional modelling
  • MBA in Finance or Operations and Supply chain is preferred

Technical Skills:

Project Experience: Must have a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data & Analytics projects using tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc., including implementations, upgrades, rollouts, and support.

Data Visualization & Modeling: Proficient in creating reports, dashboards, data models, and analytics applications using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools, following best practices for data visualization and performance optimization.

Client Engagement: Skilled in engaging with clients to gather business requirements, then designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing sophisticated planning and analytical models within the chosen Data & Analytics platform.

Advanced Features & Integration: Experience with advanced features of Data & Analytics tools such as predictive forecasting, machine learning integrations, various data integration methods, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) within the platform environment.

Certification: Relevant certifications in Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms are highly desirable.

Leadership & Agile Methodologies: Lead the conduct, documentation, and sign-off of business requirements with clients. Oversee the assignment of user stories and lead sprint planning sessions, ensuring alignment with agile project management methodologies.

Technical Leadership: Deep understanding of the platform’s predictive analytics, machine learning capabilities, and integration with various data sources (both from within and outside the platform’s ecosystem).

Modeling & Best Practices: Comfortable with creating and managing data models, lists, line items, subsets, and dashboards using best practices within the chosen platform.

Client Communication: Ability to have direct discussions with clients to understand their needs, and then design, develop, maintain, and elaborate planning models and analytical solutions.

Desirable Certification: Advanced certifications in Data & Analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc., are a plus.

Agile Project Management: Assist in conducting, documenting, and signing off on business requirements with clients. Assign user stories and assist in sprint planning.

People Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with client team and in client facing roles across various time zones based on client location
  • Ability to work in Hybrid model (WFH and Office)
  • Strong sense of responsibility and positive attitude
