Job responsibilities

• Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
• Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements.
• Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements.
• Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation.
• Partners with leadership team for driving NFR, Modernization initiatives and controls.
• Actively participate in the design, development, and review of code to ensure high-quality software solutions.
• Write, test, and maintain code as needed to support project goals and deadlines.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on leading technology projects concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.
• 8+ years of Java software development experience with at least 2 years of experience in a management or leadershp role.
• Working experience in Java, React, and cloud technologies like AWS.
• Experience leading technology projects and managing technologists.
• Advanced in one or more programming language(s) like Java, Python etc.
• Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
• Practical cloud native experience such as AWS.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, driving them to deliver while fostering and collaborative partnership.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience working at code level.
• Experience with AI, preferably with LLM and Generative solutions.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, driving them to deliver while fostering and collaborative partnership.
