About the Role
As a proven SaaS technology product leader and senior executive, you will oversee three key areas of responsibility: Product Management, Product Operations, and UX & Design.

Specific responsibilities include:

Strategic Executive Product Leadership and Strategy:

  • Provide strategic, executive direction and leadership across all of Rapid7’s cybersecurity products and services.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for securing customer cloud centric and hybrid infrastructure environments, aligned with our business objectives and overall mission of winning Security Operations (SecOps), including product/market fit, portfolio management, and overall business performance.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to inform product decisions.

  • Champion innovation and drive the evolution of our Insight Platform and end-to-end product portfolio to stay ahead in the ever-changing cybersecurity landscape.

Customer-Centric, Product Management:

  • Lead the product management team to define and deliver best-in-class cybersecurity software solutions with a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences, while defining product roadmaps and direction to delight and retain customers.

  • Develop and maintain a user-focused approach to our products, ensuring that products are intuitive, effective, and well positioned in the cybersecurity landscape.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, agile development, and user-centered design within the product team and also in partnership with our engineering and service delivery teams.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing and customer success teams to enable highly effective go-to-market strategies, customer adoption, customer engagement and world-class customer retention.

  • Build a close relationship with Rapid7 service delivery and InfoSec teams and foster a “Customer Zero” approach that facilitates effective collaboration and validated prioritization.

  • Establish KPIs and metrics to measure product performance, and use data-driven insights to make informed decisions.

User Experience & Design

  • Develop and communicate a clear design strategy and vision that aligns with the company's overall goals and user-centric principles and standards that ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience across our platform.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design is integrated seamlessly into the product development process.

  • Champion a user-centered design approach throughout the organization, ensuring that all design decisions are driven by a deep understanding of user needs and behaviors.

  • Promote usability testing and iterative design practices to refine and enhance product designs and customer adoption based on user feedback and overall usage.

Product Operations

  • Elevate and maintain effective product management & user design methodologies, program management practices, and product tools, and processes to ensure efficient and reliable product delivery.

  • Collaborate with the InfoSec and Legal teams to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices.

  • Ensure established goals and key performance indicators (KPI’s) are tracked and measured to ensure productivity and attainment against key standards.

Software Engineering & Service Delivery Partner

  • Collaborate and partner with our software engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and technical requirements to help Rapid7 be the most trusted SecOps provider in the industry, delivering with the most robust, scalable, and reliable cloud-based, cybersecurity applications, APIs, and services.

  • Collaborate and partner with our Managed Services and Engineering teams to help lead efforts to optimize the convergence of managed services and our SecOps platform,for efficient and seamless delivery to customers, partners and managed security service providers (MSSP).

Team Leadership and Talent Development:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product management, UX and design, and product operations team.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the product organization.

  • Identify and develop talent and leadership within the team and recruit top-tier product professionals as needed.

  • Create a culture of learning and professional development to keep the team at the forefront of industry expertise.

The skills you’ll bring include:

  • Proven experience as a senior product leader and executive in a global cybersecurity or cloud centric, enterprise SaaS product company.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

  • Extensive experience (15+ years) in leading product teams, with a focus on cloud-based security or enterprise SaaS solutions.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing global product management and UX/Design teams (10+ years) in an agile environment.

  • Strong expertise in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including software-as-a-service, infrastructure-as-a-service and platform-as-a-service offerings.

  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and industry best practices.

  • Excellent knowledge of cloud-native technologies, architectures, and service delivery models

  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align cross-functional initiatives with organizational goals. History of scaling global product teams with a customer-centric focus supported by successful product strategy and management.

  • Ability to move fast without compromising the focus on our customers and goals while successfully managing short-term and long-term strategic planning processes, budgets and related operational responsibilities.

  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in driving positive and sustained change, with the proven ability to influence and align stakeholders.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

  • Ability to travel up to ~50% of the time.
