Boston Scientific Senior Process Engineer - HV Capacitors

Your responsibilities will include:

  • May serve as a technical leader or extended team member on new capacitor projects.
  • May lead a team of engineers in the technical development of capacitors.
  • Provide strong leadership and problem solving to enable medical device innovation.
  • Collaborate directly within the capacitors team to develop, improve, and validate processes.
  • Execute the functional deliverables associated with the PDP/TDP, Project Management, and Quality Systems.
  • Qualify equipment and/or tooling, create equipment recipes, collect & assess the data, and communicate the results to your team.
  • Develop, write, & review process validation strategy and related deliverables to meet quality system requirements (e.g., Experiment tech reports, GR&R, TMV, IQ, PRAs, etc.)
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements. (e.g., BOM's, Routers, FMEA's, etc.)
  • Oversee development builds associated with the project using special work requests.
  • Assess process capabilities, prioritize process improvement opportunities, and innovate and implement process improvements on multiple and moderately complex processes.
  • Work cross functionally to lead, own, develop, & deliver capable and robust processes and equipment to operations.
  • Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input to the engineering print package.
  • Support manufacturing process by owning processes along with training, providing work direction to technicians and engineers, and may train manufacturing personnel when required as part of a validation.
  • Develop experimental strategy and present technical data and recommendations at technical reviews.
  • Use technical and collaboration skills alongside your passion for innovation and continuous improvement to drive growth through efficient and effective commercialization of new products and targeted improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience post education in an engineering role.
  • Experience with process development; equipment validation; process characterization and validation experience.
  • Demonstrated engineering fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated cross functional teamwork in technically demanding environment.
  • Open to travel of up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excels in a collaborative, cross-functional, cross-site environment.
  • Expertise in New Product Development
  • Medical device or other regulated industry experience.

This is an onsite position based in Arden Hills, MN with the expectation to be on-site four days.
