As a Tax Senior specializing in U.S. Individual Taxation (1040) and global mobility compliance, your primary responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of US global mobility tax deliverables, supervising, and mentoring staff, and supporting managers in strengthening client relationships.

You must have comprehensive knowledge of inpat and expat federal and state tax law concepts, including but not limited to, foreign earned Income exclusion, foreign tax credits, passive foreign investments, non-resident returns and tax treaty applications. Knowledge of tax equalizations and hypo tax calculations is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit advanced US individual tax technical knowledge.
  • Oversee the US individual tax return process, review various tax returns and tax deliverables.
  • Support Managers in overseeing engagements from start to finish.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on tax related matters.
  • Liaise with teams across different EY offices.
  • Identify issues proactively and propose solutions.
  • Guide and develop staff in technical, client service, and engagement management areas.
  • Mentor team members and facilitate their growth.
  • Lead by example and encourage effective problem-solving and coordination.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in systematic, numerical, and collaborative skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of a tax software as well as of MS Office applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in preparing and reviewing US individual tax returns
