As a member of the Operations team, you will have the opportunity to work with our dynamic Consulting practice. We are looking for someone with excellent executive presence, facilitating and problem solving skills to facilitate the Deal Governance process undertaken by our Consulting team and drive sales. This is a highly networked role that requires an understanding of our business structure, requirements and objectives. This is a unique opportunity for a high performing individual who is outcome-driven and wants to contribute to projects that will transform how we manage and grow the business.


Your key responsibilities
Your role is to be on the front line of Deal Governance process, facilitating the program and ensuring its completion for deals; managing the Deal Governance tool; providing guidance and support to the practice on what are requirements and identifying opportunities for enhancement. You can see the big picture and connect the dots to ensure we exceed client expectations (internal stakeholders and leadership team members). You will work closely with the Region Consulting Leadership, Quality and Finance teams.

You need to be an excellent communicator and coordinator. The responsibilities and expectations include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and facilitate the Deal Governance process, including communicating requirements, providing support and guidance to deal teams
  • Guide the Deal Governance coordinator for the scheduling of the process reviews; assist with scheduling issues, as required
  • Attend all Deal Governance calls and capture key action items; follow up through to completion, as required
  • Ensure the Deal Governance tool is properly completed for each deal
  • Support teams across all Canada SLs with questions regarding the Deal Governance tool
  • Troubleshoot issues and report them to the SharePoint support team
  • Communicate and provide guidance related to new Deal Governance protocols
  • Collaborate with Partners and their Executive Assistants to ensure availability for Deal Governance reviews
  • Coordinate with broader Quality and Risk Management (Q&RM) team for deal information and updates
  • Manage Deal Governance centralized email as well as manage requests coming through various additional mediums (individual email, Teams, and phone calls)
  • Assist with the triage of deals with no major risks; conduct first-level consult with deal teams

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 3-7 years of business experience, preferably in an administration, compliance or operations role
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills
  • Solid project management skills and effective time management
  • Ability to think strategically, move forward in ambiguous environments and a proactive mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Preferred, not required: EY institutional knowledge (acronyms, MSs, SLs, competencies, org. structure, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, One Note, PowerPoint and PowerBI
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and SharePoint
